What is MSSQL?
Microsoft SQL (MSSQL) is a relational database management system from Microsoft that runs on Windows servers. Microsoft began development of its own version of MSSQL in 1982, but originally it was developed by Sybase and also sold by Microsoft for OS/2 and NT. Today, Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase SQL Server are independent products (with some compatibility) but differ from MySQL.
