Business Website Management
You may be in the process of developing a new website, or perhaps, you have an existing website that you wish to transfer to Red Rook. Either way, we can help you with the ongoing management of your website.
The following options will soon be available on our online order form for you to select when you place your web hosting order.
Register a domain name
To secure your own domain name, Red Rook can:- help you find an available domain name;
- register your new domain name;
- notify you when your domain name is expiring, and re-register your existing domain name - if its a domain name we originally registered for you, then this will occur automatically. If you wish us to register a domain name you already own, we'll need to transfer it to Red Rook's registration system. We'll need to obtain the domain name username and password from you (sometimes called the Registry Key).
It's possible you will receive re-registration notices from other registration services. If you do, let us know and we can help you sort through the confusion. We are happy to supply you with your new domain name username and password upon request.

Website upload service
If you already have a website hosted elsewhere, Red Rook can:
- download your existing website from your current web host's server - you will need to provide us with your FTP login details for your current host (this will take the form of a username and password);
- re-upload your website to the Red Rook servers.
To minimise any web site downtime, if you have an existing website, we suggest you re-upload it to Red Rook's servers BEFORE proceeding with domain name redelegation.
This service is free of charge and available upon request when you place your web hosting order.
Domain name delegation
If you supply us with your domain name username and password (Registry Key), Red Rook can redelegate your existing domain name when your website has been uploaded.

Content Management and Website Updates
Once your website is established, you will need to periodically update and change content, as well as continually add new content. Red Rook offers:
- Website content management - either on an "as required" basis, or as part of a contracted, ongoing arrangement;
- Sitestudio - and online web site builder the allows you to publish your website with one easy click. Even after publishing, you can go back and change it as much as you wish. Clicking the publish button again will instantly make all the changes made be reflected on the "live" version of the site;
- NomisPro content management system - NomisPro is a feature-rich, easy to use content authoring system by Cubus Design that enables business owners or staff members to update and manage website content.
- Open source content management - such as Joomla or Mambo, but ask us if you have an alternative, specific requirement.
