Why does my webpage show a question mark instead of the copyright symbol?

If you wish to display the copyright symbol © on one of your web pages, the symbol MUST be entered in HTML (Code view) mode as

If you do NOT use you will most likely see a ? in it's place.

An example:

In the CODE view instead of...
. Copyright © 2005

You would have...
. Copyright 2005

This will then DISPLAY on your web page as...
. Copyright © 2005

This may have not have been an issue on an older web server but is now the default setting for standard Apache (httpd) installations.
