Our Servers are in Sydney
Many web hosting companies claim to be Australian, and perhaps they have Australian owners, or at least an Australian-based office...but the OFTEN use offshore hosting services. Usually, this will mean North America. Data costs are less than Australia and your web site will probably sit on a server in a "server farm" with hundreds, if not thousands, of other servers.
We know...because we've tried it. In the event of an emergency, the technical support was poor, at best. If everything is going "swimmingly", then that's great.
...but don't count your chickens.
Red Rook uses a state-of-the-art datacentre in Sydney. In the event of an MAJOR emergency, we can have someone "on deck" within the hour.
